I am coming from a Tank T1 and the new features are very welcome. The larger face is much easier for my old eyes to read. Text and email alerts were very small on the T1, but are easy to read on the M3. There are four buttons (rather than two on the T1). Navigation makes sense. One of the buttons has some assignable functionality. I haven't figured out what to use it for.
This watch has a compass which I've missed on the other watch. I'm using one of the factory default faces that gives access to the compass by touching an area on the face. It has GPS, but I haven't seen it yet. You must have to use an outdoor workout to see it. I haven't noticed where it would show up in the kospet Fit app either.
I've used the camera shutter release, and music controls. The watch has a speaker and microphone. The speaker is good, but it won't replace my earbuds for phone calls or music except for short calls when it's convenient.
I like that I can select a subset from the 170+ types of workouts to display in the list on the watch.
I also bought the metal watch band, and the magnetic watchband. I really like the magnetic band. I bought the red and black version and leave both black sides out. The benefit is that you can get an accurate and comfortable fit without the stiffness of the plastic band pushing the large watch to a different position on your wrist. I haven't opened the metal band and may return it.
Note, there are references to things in the specifications, and in the marketing material that I haven't scene yet. They have switch blood pressure for "stress" I don't know what "stress" really means and since Blood Pressure monitoring was a primary reason for me buying this watch, I'm going to continue to insist that Kospet provide it.
I've looked at other watches, like the Samsung, Fitbit, Apple, and some other obscure bands. The obscure brands are cheaper, but seem less durable, and the software is clunky. The Samsung and Apple watches are very expensive, and I believe this Tank M3 Ultra is very well built and tested, at least as well as the Samsung and Apple. Those watches had more stable and intuitive software, but you are locked into Apple or Samsung's environment, and at double the cost, I'm not willing to do that. This Tank M3 Ultra hits a sweet spot at just over $100US, and as long as the software continues to be improved, it, along with the T3 and Ts Ultra will be the watch to have.
I know I'm one of the earliest owners, and being new, I'm sure there will be some changes to the software one the smart watch, and on my Pixel 6 Pro Android phone.
I'm hoping Kospet will allow users to design custom faces using something like Facer. I'd like a face with moving hands, that displays the key data elements that I want to see (Month, Day, Date, Blood Pressure, Heart rate, Steps, kcal, altitude in Feet, Barometric Pressure) Hey, I can ask, right?
I'm two days into this watch. The battery is still above 90%. I'll return as I have more tales to tell.
